- A NEW ARRIVALS PATH is set to cut through the HEART OF BROOKFIELD & KENMORE HILLS — from Jones Rd to Boscombe, over our showgrounds and school, and across Huntington and Kensington Estates. This path will carry up to 138 low-altitude flights a day, increasing to around 245 daily over the 10 or so years.
- EASTBOUND DEPARTURES TO FLY OVER BROOKIE, UPPER BROOKIE, KENMORE HILLS, KENMORE & CHAPEL HILL. The new plan sends eastbound departures west after take-off before looping back over water. That means up to a 20% increase in departure noise for Brookie and our neighbours. More flights. More noise.
- SOME DEPARTURES could shift north-east by approx 700m and split near Brookie; a slight noise reduction for some, but not all.
- AN ARRIVALS SHORT CUT could divert between 2 & 16 flights a day. It's something - but only just.
- AN OVERNIGHT DEPARTURES TRIAL will divert thunderous overnight flights over industrial land and water between 10pm and 6am. Here’s the catch: without strong community backing, this change may never happen.
